The Magnificent Bomber Jacket by Gucci

History
The bomber jacket is also referred to as a 'flight jacket' or 'bombardier jacket'.  These jackets were originally created for pilots. In World War I, airplanes did not have cockpits so pilots began wearing leather coats to stay warm.

By World War II people began to refer to the jackets as "bomber jackets" because bomber pilots wore them to protect themselves from the extreme weather conditions found at high altitudes.

Gucci is one of the worlds most successful manufacturers of high and leather goods.  Gucci and the bomber jacket go hand-in-hand. Year after year, Gucci has released traditional colorways along with numerous new renditions.
