As fashion’s crush on tech looks more and more like the real thing, we sent Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid to Silicon Valley to meet the moguls behind the madness.   Forget about Fashion Week, the most important show of the season took place at the Westminster Kennel Club. There were quite a few newcomers at this year’s annual dog show, including Neo, a petite Chinese crested, and Onyx, a Cavalier King Charles who is so adorable, her owner had her mug bedazzled onto the back of her denim jacket. There were seasoned competitors on hand as well, such as Boo, a toy poodle who has gone to the dog show more times than he’d care to admit, and Carmen, a six-time attendee who is considered the “ Kim Kardashian West of the dachshund world.” Regardless of who takes home the coveted Best in Show prize, it’s clear these fine four-legged friends certainly couldn’t have made it this far without their owners. At the Milk Studios industrial loft space today, designer Rio Uribe presented his first collection since his big CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund win, and amid the ’70s-inflected bell-bottoms and split corduroy skirts on the runway was a whimsical series of Warhol-bright mouths. Painted with a precise hand by backstage makeup artist Erin Parsons using Maybelline’s Color Jolt Lip Paint and a slick of gloss, the lacquered pouts popped in fire-engine red and bright blue (a shade that couldn’t help but call to mind the signature lip color of artist Juliana Huxtable ). Those same vibrant shades carried over to some models’ lids, too, resulting in a high-impact beauty proposal that took the statement lip to the next level—and, best of all, brought a heady dose of color and fun to Fashion Week .
